Privacy Policy

108 Moments is a daily practice app built by Dustin Wells ("we," "us"). This policy explains what information the 108 Moments app and website collect, how it is used, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the app, we do not run ads, and we never sell your information.

Information we collect

When you create an account and use the app, we store:

• Account information. Your email address, used to sign you in with a one-time code. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and name from Google. You can optionally add a display name.
• Practice progress. Which weekly themes you have started and finished, your daily bead counts, which days you marked done, which audio sessions you played, and any content you mark as a favorite.
• Wellbeing check-ins. If you choose to complete the short wellbeing check-in, we store your answers so the app can show you your own results over time. These are self-reported and visible only to you.
• Usage analytics. We collect basic product analytics — such as which screens and features are used, and general device information like device model, operating system version, and app version — to understand how the app is used and improve it. We use PostHog for this. Analytics are tied to a random identifier, not used for advertising, and never include the content of your wellbeing check-in answers.

We do not collect:

• Your location.
• Your contacts, photos, or anything else on your device beyond what is listed above.
• Advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking data. The app contains no advertising SDKs and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Using the app without an account

You can use 108 Moments without signing in. In that case, your progress is stored only on your device and never sent to us. Deleting the app deletes that data. If you later sign in, your on-device progress is synced to your account.

How we use your information

We use the information above only to:

• Sign you in and keep your account secure.
• Sync your progress across your devices and back it up.
• Show you your own progress, streaks, and check-in results.
• Understand how the app is used in aggregate, so we can improve it.

We do not sell your information, share it for advertising, or use it for any purpose beyond running the app.

Notifications

Reminders (such as the morning reminder and the 1:08 PM daily line) are local notifications scheduled on your device. They are optional, each one can be turned off in the app, and they do not involve sending your data anywhere.

Service providers

We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run the app. They process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:

• Supabase — hosts our database and sign-in system (servers in the United States).
• Twilio SendGrid — delivers sign-in code emails.
• PostHog — processes the product analytics described above (servers in the United States).
• Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
• Vercel — hosts this website and the web version of the app.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from inside the app (Settings → Delete account), which permanently deletes your account and all synced data. You can also email us atdustin@dustinwells.com and we will delete it for you.

Security

All data is encrypted in transit. Database access rules ensure your data can only be read and written by your own account. No system is perfectly secure, but we design for the smallest possible amount of stored data.

Children

108 Moments is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Since the app only stores what is listed above, the fastest path is usually the in-app delete, but you can always email us to exercise any of these rights.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, note it in the app.
